#ASW16 – What happens in Vegas, must not stay just in Vegas

The much awaited Affiliate Summit West (ASW) took place between January 10-12, 2016 at Paris Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Capital Numbers was excited to be a part of this 3-day conference which included networking with affiliates, affiliate managers, advertisers, OPMs/agencies, solution providers, and networks. The conference also included dozens of educational sessions covering the latest trends and insights from marketing experts.
As with every experience, there were some initial hiccups during setting our booth at the event, but the 100+ guests who visited us during the conference made it all worth the effort.
We have been a part of ASW in the past, but each year naturally adds fresh silt to our already formed impressions. Most importantly there were thousands of new marketers to share our ideas and goals with. Another highlight of this year’s ASW was the keynotes. We were more than thrilled to hear from Keynote Speakers Kerri Pollard and Greg Gifford.
Ms Pollard with her sixteen years of industry experience in the industry is an affiliate marketing legend. Under her leadership as President, the CJ Marketplace grew to over 3,000 advertisers, 70,000 active publishers, and according to Internet Retailer, is the number one affiliate marketing provider “by a long shot.”
Mr Greg Gifford currently, a member of the Board of Directors for the DFWSEM, has over 16 years of online marketing and web design experience, and he speaks internationally at both automotive and SEO conferences, teaching thousands of small business owners and marketers how to get their sites to show up higher in local search rankings.
Naturally when we signed up for ASW16, we knew we were in for some top notch learning and entertainment, specifically at the keynote addresses and we were anything but disappointed!
The overall experience was fantastic! We were able to interface with past, present and future clients who were excited about our business. The City of Vegas as usual was very welcoming, and the event felt effortless and seamless in every aspect.
